La Butte aux Bois is located on the edge of the wooded area of the Hoge Kempen National Park on an estate that covers no less than 12 hectares. The main building, which was built in 1926 by knight Lagasse de Locht, was transformed into a restaurant and banquet hall in 1986. Today, La Butte aux Bois grew into a four-star hotel with 40 rooms with its own star restaurant La Source (1 Michelin star, 17/20 in GaultMillau) and its own wellness center, La Forêt.
In 2016, they invested in 20 new hotel rooms, a new facility for its La Forêt wellness center and a new reception area. The goal? To create an even more qualitative guest experience. And that in terms of infrastructure as well as atmosphere, visibility and light.
Together with PCp Architects, kreon picked out the perfect selection of lighting and ceiling solution for every room, with in mind; an excellent guest experience, a homely atmosphere and discretion.
